Job summary

Manitowoc Ice, a division of Pentair, seeks a forklift operator to support material handling and inventory management on our 3rd shift. You will operate forklifts, inspect equipment, and maintain accurate records while upholding strict safety standards.

Starting pay is $24.12 per hour plus a $1 shift premium on the 3rd shift, with opportunities for raises after training and skill proficiency. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move parts/material.
• Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification (internal).
• Understand inventory processes.
• Basic math skills.
• Safe use of tools and pallet trucks.
• Written test on safe overhead crane operation and safe operation.
• Familiarity with ISO and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift per defined procedures and safety rules.
• Identify and move raw materials and finished products.

• Move tools, parts, and materials as needed.
• Use computer to perform daily job functions.
• Record inventory transactions in Oracle Recharge forklift batteries and propane tanks.
• Pass a written forklift safety test and demonstrate safe operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift per defined procedures and safety practices
• Identify and move raw materials and finished product
• Inspect forklift and perform preventative maintenance as required
• Use hand tools
• Lift and move tools, parts and material
• Operate computer to perform daily job functions
• Accurately locate materials and complete inventory transactions into Oracle Recharge forklift batteries and/or change propane tanks
• Pass a written test on safe forklift operations and demonstrate the ability to safely operate a forklift
• Follow and comply with all safety rules and practices
• Complete all necessary paperwork

Key Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and move parts/material Manufacturing environment; must wear Safety Shoes and Glasses
• Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification, internally administered is required
• Ability to understand inventory processes
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to safely use tools and pallet trucks
• Pass a written test on safe overhead crane operation and demonstrate the ability to safely operate an overhead crane
• Must be knowledgeable and familiar with applicable ISO and quality system requirements and policies

Position Shift/Hours

• 3rd shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am Monday – Friday
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Compensation

Starting hourly pay for this role is: $24.12/hr. + $1.00 shift premium while working on 3rd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
