Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Manitowoc, WI facility on 3rd shift. You will move materials with a forklift to meet production schedules while following safety requirements and quality expectations.

You will perform material handling, inventory transactions in Oracle, and routine forklift maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma and safety gear, with opportunities for skill-based pay progression.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move parts/material.
• Manufacturing environment; safety shoes and glasses required.
• Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification (internal) required.
• Ability to understand inventory processes.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to safely use tools and pallet trucks.
• Pass a written test on overhead crane operation and demonstrate safe operation.
• Familiar with ISO and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift per defined procedures and safety practices.
• Identify and move raw materials and finished product.
• Inspect forklift and perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Use hand tools.
• Lift and move tools, parts and material.
• Operate computer to perform daily job functions.
• Accurately locate materials and complete inventory transactions in Oracle.
• Recharge forklift batteries and/or change propane tanks.
• Pass a written test on safe forklift operations and demonstrate safe operation.
• Follow and comply with all safety rules and complete paperwork.

We have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will be under the direction of the Production Supervisor where you will move material with a forklift to meet production schedules per company safety requirements while also meeting customer quality expectations.

You Will

• Operate a forklift per defined procedures and safety practices

Key Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable and familiar with applicable ISO and quality system requirements and policies.

Position Shift/Hours

• 3rd shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am Monday – Friday
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Compensation

Starting hourly pay for this role is: $24.12/hr. + $1.00 shift premium while working on 3rd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
