Job summary

Manitowoc Ice, a Division of Pentair, is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Manitowoc, WI team. You will move materials with a forklift to meet production schedules while following safety rules and quality standards.

The role requires forklift and crane operation knowledge, a high school diploma, and ability to work a 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am) with possible extended hours and weekends. Compensation includes hourly pay with shift premium and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move parts/material.
• Manufacturing environment; must wear Safety Shoes and Glasses.
• Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification required.
• Ability to understand inventory processes.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to safely use tools and pallet trucks.
• Pass a written test on safe overhead crane operation and demonstrate safe forklift operation.
• Knowledge of ISO and quality system requirements and policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift per defined procedures and safety practices.
• Identify and move raw materials and finished product.
• Inspect forklift and perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Use hand tools.
• Lift and move tools, parts and material.
• Operate computer to perform daily job functions.
• Accurately locate materials and complete inventory transactions into Oracle.
• Recharge forklift batteries and/or change propane tanks.
• Pass a written test on safe forklift operations and demonstrate the ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Follow and comply with all safety rules and practices.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.

Forklift Operator 3rd Shift - Manitowoc, WI

We have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will be under the direction of the Production Supervisor where you will move material with a forklift to meet production schedules per company safety requirements while also meeting customer quality expectations.

You will:

• Operate a forklift per defined procedures and safety practices

Position Shift/Hours:

• 3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am Monday - Friday
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Compensation:

Starting hourly pay for this role is: $24.12/hr. + $1.00 shift premium while working on 3rd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
