Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in a manufacturing environment in Worcester, MA. This role supports daily production operations by safely moving raw materials, inventory, cores, and finished goods throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials, stock, cores, finished goods, and other materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, stage materials for production, and transport finished products to shipping, warehouse, or designated areas.
• Retrieve large or heavy materials from the warehouse based on work orders and deliver them to coating and converting machines.
• Scan barcodes using the QAD inventory system and maintain accurate inventory movement records.
• Inspect shipments, verify quantities, identify damage or discrepancies, and assist with weekly cycle counts.
• Follow work orders, SOPs, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions while supporting production, shipping, and receiving needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour.
• Second Shift Differential: Additional 10% for second-shift hours.
• Job Type: 3-month temp-to-hire opportunity or possible extension.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Location: Worcester, MA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to support manufacturing material flow.
• Move raw materials, cores, finished goods, scrap bins, and production supplies safely and accurately.
• Use QAD or inventory scanning systems to track material movement and maintain accurate records.
• Support shipping, receiving, staging, cycle counts, and production work order requirements.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Valid forklift operating license or certification required.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant forklift, warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in tight spaces and around moving production equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, SOPs, written instructions, and verbal directions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials, inventory, and shipment documentation.
• Ability to regularly handle materials up to 50 lbs. and safely support movement of heavier materials using equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and work in confined or cramped areas as needed.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision while collaborating effectively with production and warehouse teams.
• Willingness to wear required PPE, including gloves, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Experience using QAD or similar inventory management systems.
• Experience supporting coating, converting, shipping, receiving, or production material staging operations.
• Experience with cycle counts, barcode scanning, and inventory accuracy procedures.
