Job Title

Forklift Operator

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, timely shipments, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials to designated locations.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas efficiently and safely.
  • Inspect forklifts and equipment daily to ensure proper working condition; report any maintenance needs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and update tracking systems as required.
  • Assist with warehouse organization, including stocking, sorting, and labeling products.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification required; previous experience operating forklifts preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking are a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

Pay Details

$21.45 per hour
