Job summary

ALPLA Group, a global packaging company, is seeking personnel for warehouse-related duties in Iowa City. The role focuses on ensuring timely shipping and accurate handling of finished products, materials, and packaging, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and prior warehousing or general logistics experience. Training covers forklift operations, safe handling, inventory recording, and housekeeping in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution preferred.
• Experience with Forklift/Clamp Truck machinery preferred.
• Safety awareness and quality consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time shipping of finished goods.
• Prepare finished product for shipment and verify counts and damages.
• Record and store raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse per procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices in the warehouse.
• Adhere to safety checks, PPE usage and OSHA guidelines.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Part of customer service to ensure shipping on time
• Preparing finished product to ship to customer
  
  
  
  • Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
  
  
  
  
• Following warehouse receiving and shipping procedures
  
  
  
  • Accurately records and stores raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse
  
  
  • Accurately handles and records all corrugated and plastic packaging products from receipt to storage and then to production
  
  
  
  
• Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse
• Ensure adherence to all safety practice like but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Forklift and dock doors safety check lists.
  
  
  • Ensure usage of proper PPE
  
  
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or behavior.
  
  
  • Adherence to golden safety rules.
  
  
  
  

What Makes You Great
