Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling Inc is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to join our team. You will transport palletized product from production to the inventory pad and may load trucks while maintaining a strong safety mindset.

The successful candidate will work approximately 60 hours per week, including Saturdays, with certification required for forklift/Spyder operation, and a commitment to safety, quality, and reliability in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week, including Saturdays, with overtime.
  • Forklift/Spyder certification required.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop all day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather and dusty environments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport palletized product from the production area to the inventory pad.
  • Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
  • Follow SOPs related to transporting product within and from the autoline production area.
  • Wear required safety gear at all times (safety toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, gloves).
  • Assume other duties as assigned by management.

This position reports to the Pad or Autoline Supervisor. Forklift Operators are assigned to transport palletized product from the production area to the inventory pad. Forklift Operators may also load flatbed trucks and customers as needed. We expect forklift operators to perform tasks in a safe and professional manner and to maintain a professional demeaner when engaging with customers and coworkers.A successful candidate for this position will ensure that work is completed safely, on schedule and as directed.
