Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team. The role reports to the Pad or Autoline Supervisor and involves transporting palletized product from production to the inventory pad, with potential loading of flatbed trucks for customers.

You will be expected to perform tasks safely, efficiently, and professionally. The position requires forklift/Spyder experience (certification), ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and willingness to work approximately 60 hours per week

Qualifications

• Forklift/Spyder operation certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work outdoors.
• Willingness to work up to 60 hours per week, including Saturdays.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Must pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport palletized product from the production area to the inventory pad.
• Load flatbed trucks and customers as needed.
• Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
• Follow all standard operating procedures related to transporting product.
• Safety gear is required and to be worn at all times (toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, gloves).
• Assume other duties as assigned by management.

This position reports to the Pad or Autoline Supervisor. Forklift Operators are assigned to transport palletized product from the production area to the inventory pad. Forklift Operators may also load flatbed trucks and customers as needed.
