Job summary

Norsk Hydro is hiring for a permanent role at its Gainesville, GA facility. The position involves night shifts on a 12-hour continental schedule, moving racks of aluminum extrusions and safely operating a bander and forklift.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and pass mobile equipment testing; GED/HSD preferred, with manufacturing experience a plus. Initially, the role offers growth within a global aluminum producer known for a safe, inclusive workplace and competitive benefits such as

• Must have physical agility to climb on/off forklift quickly.
• Experience completing mobile equipment testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move racks of aluminum extrusions.
• Safely use bander to secure material prior to movement.
• Move empty racks to designated areas.
• Complete forklift pre-shift check sheets.

Starting Rate of pay: $23.38/HR

$1.00/HR additional for shift premium.

Shifts Available and Hours:

12-hour continental night shift

7:15 PM - 7:15 AM

What you will be doing

• Responsible for moving racks of aluminum extrusions.
• Responsible for properly and safely using bander to band material prior to moving material.
• Move empty racks to correct area.
• Complete forklift check sheets at beginning of each shift.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must have physical agility to safely climb up and down on and off of forklift at a fast pace.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required mobile equipment
  testing.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• HSD / GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Good verbal communications
  skills a plus.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in manufacturing or related preferred.
• Team player; ability to work as a team.
• Adaptable to change.
• Ability to prioritize needs.
