Position Details

• Position: Forklift Operator
• Shift: Wednesday-Saturday 5am-3pm
• Pay: $18.10 an hour plus weekend and night shift premiums

Preferred Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate may also possess skills in Production, Manufacturing, Warehouse, General Labor, Forklift, Quality Control, Material Handling, Loader/Unloader, Equipment Operation, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker. A minimum of 6 months experience operating stand-up material handling equipment is preferred, with preference given to those experienced with Dock Stocker and Reach Truck. Experience with other equipment like Cherry Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, Electric Pallet Jack is a plus. Experience using a warehouse management system such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, or SAP is also preferred.

Role Overview

Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock within our warehouse, loading and unloading shipments, and using various equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. This role requires safety consciousness, efficiency, and teamwork, contributing to the movement of products essential for daily life.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklifts or other power equipment.
• Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain inventory records and reports.
• Follow OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy and report variances.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed.
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.
• Assist with physical inventories and equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or completion of a forklift-training program within 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse and forklift operation experience preferred.
