Job description

The Walmart Dairy Plant in Fort Wayne, IN is one of the largest Milk Processing Plants in the United States. We provide our customers with the freshest, high-quality milk at everyday low prices for families. We are seeking to hire an experienced Material Handler to assist in loading and unloading trailers using forklifts.

Job Duties:
  1. Manage freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, while identifying, counting, separating, and scanning freight using warehouse management systems, terminal scales, and scanners. Maintain records and logs.
  2. Keep work area organized and maintain freight flow by stacking and moving empty pallets using pallet jacks or powered equipment.
  3. Monitor freight to ensure compliance with cold chain and species standards.
  4. Complete work assignments and prioritize tasks in the plant warehouse by following policies and collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners. Communicate progress, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to changes.
  5. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing related action plans and supporting Walmart's culture of ethics and compliance.

Compensation:

The hourly wage range is $20.30-$22.30, with actual wages meeting or exceeding local minimums. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
