Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Forklift Operator to start with our team in Fort Wayne, IN.

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Plus daily and weekend (including Sundays) overtime, as necessary

What You'll Do:

  • Operate forklift and use radio frequency scanner to perform stocking activities such as pull down or put away.
  • Move stock as assigned.
  • Sign out forklift after completing daily safety checklist.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Stack product physically onto and off of pallets repetitively throughout the designated shift.
  • Load and unload trucks.

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to successfully complete forklift certification process.
  • Reading comprehension skills up to high school level.
  • Writing skills up to high school level.
  • Math skills – basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group environment.
  • Flexibility/multi-tasking based on workflow demands.
  • Ability to meet and maintain production standards.
  • Maintain reasonably reliable attendance.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work.

Education and Experience

  • Certification as a forklift operator or ability to be certified.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a previous job.
  • 6 months of work experience involving walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard use.

Essential Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk and stand continuously during the shift.
  • Pass a physical exam including vision and hearing tests for safe operation of equipment.
  • Ability to escalate up to 25 feet in height on equipment.
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently during the shift.
  • Push/pull up to 65 lbs force, with varying frequency.
  • Grip/grasp continuously during the shift.
  • Perform bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, crawling, reaching frequently.
  • Work designated shift including overtime and weekends as required.
  • Exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
