Job summary

Lift & Load is a family-owned forklift and material handling supplier in Providence, RI, seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to grow our forklift and service business. You will cultivate new accounts, service existing customers, and promote our parts and service programs.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to travel within the territory, delivering demonstrations and proposals, while representing our company with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience preferred; forklifts or material handling experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Organized with excellent follow-up skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus; training provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Sell new and used forklifts and material-handling equipment.
• Develop new customer accounts and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Promote preventative maintenance, repair, and service programs.
• Identify customer equipment needs and recommend solutions.
• Make regular customer visits and conduct sales presentations.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and equipment recommendations.
• Follow up on leads, quotes, and opportunities.
• Work closely with the service department to identify customer service opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information.
• Meet established sales and revenue goals.
• Stay current on forklift equipment, safety requirements, and industry trends.
• Represent our family-owned company professionally and provide exceptional customer service.
