Job summary

Performance Pet Products in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Material Handler for 1st and 2nd shift. You will operate a sit-down or stand-up forklift, move materials between production and warehouse, and help prepare orders for shipment.

Requires basic math, accurate documentation, and a safety‑minded approach. Starting wage is $20.73/hr with a $2 night shift differential; benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, and a strong 401K match.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred.
• Ability to pass in-house forklift certifications at hire and operate equipment safely.
• Effective communication and accurate record-keeping on shipping docs.
• Ability to count and perform basic math with a calculator.
• Ability to work safely in a multi-protein facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift to load/unload trucks and store products.
• Move materials between production floor and storage and assist with inventory counts.
• Review packing lists and purchase orders for shipment accuracy.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Follow safety policies and maintain on-site attendance.
