Job summary

A & Associates in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a Material Handler for the 1st shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 12-hour Pitman schedule. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, balers, loading tires, moving materials, and documenting work; training will be provided onsite.

Proof of state ID, high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift 25–50 lbs are required. Opportunities exist for full-time conversion with benefits after 60–90 days, plus paid holidays and uniforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be 18+ years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Available for 1st shift and able to work a 12-hour Pitman schedule.
• Forklift training or prior forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
• PPE provided and safety procedures must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Move materials manually and via forklift.
• Load materials into trailers and dumpsters.
• Convey materials from Storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Sort and bale various recyclables.
• Properly document work performed.
• Operate forklifts and follow safety protocols.
