Estes Express in Wisconsin is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand, and to strap and pad freight to prevent movement. You will document freight conditions on arrival and inspect dock equipment before and after each shift.

Applicants should be 17+ with a high school diploma or GED; forklift experience or certification is preferred. The role requires lifting ~70 lbs, standing, walking, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Stable employment history preferred
• Forklift operation or certification preferred
• Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jack/hand truck with 70 lbs minimum
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, etc.
• Ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends
• Able to lift ~70 lbs. or more as needed
• Must comply with policies and safety rules
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team

Mansioni

• Properly load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
• Record condition of freight as it arrives at service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment
• Regular attendance is required
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed by operations/safety requirements
