Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload freight, secure cargo, and document freight conditions at the service center. The role requires the ability to operate forklifts, use pallet jacks, and perform ship dock tasks with safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a GED or equivalent, be at least 17 years old, and be able to lift 70 lbs, work various shifts including overtime, and pass pre-employment screening. Previous transportation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior operation of a forklift or forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs with or without assistance.
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting and twisting.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Secure freight with straps, braces and padding to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and dependability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned as needed.
