Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate for Lumber Suppliers - East Peoria, IL to support receiving, stocking, and distributing materials in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will operate forklifts, manage inventory, and collaborate with teammates to maintain safety, efficiency, and accuracy in daily warehouse operations across both yard and indoor spaces. The role requires physical tasks and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities for growth and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Operator certification.
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments.
• Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiar with industry-specific software applications.
• Proficient in Spanish or another secondary language.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety.
• Conducted safety audits and training sessions.
• Adaptable to changing environments and challenges.
• Basic computer skills and math for inventory counts.
• Effective time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count, verify, and unload incoming orders and shipments, logging materials and storing per company standards.
• Load outgoing orders onto trucks with proper documentation and adherence to schedules.
• Maintain organized, safe warehouse and yard environments and perform routine maintenance.
• Manage inventory by rotating stock and reporting discrepancies or damaged items.
• Collaborate with teammates to support a team-first culture and mutual success.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
