Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Yard Associate to support daily yard and warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and organizing materials while upholding safety standards and delivering excellent customer service.

You will move and stock products, load and unload materials from vehicles, operate forklifts or pallet jacks, keep the yard and warehouse clean, and assist with shipping, receiving, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift and handle freight up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location-specific business needs.

Responsibilities

• Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment following safety rules.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Follow PPE guidelines and proper lifting techniques.
• Verify orders and complete shipping/receiving paperwork.
