Job summary

Signature Retail Services in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a full-time Warehouse Forklift Associate to safely unload and inspect inbound shipments of lumber and building materials. The role covers both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, with indoor/outdoor work and weather variations.

You will document findings, prepare daily reports, and maintain inventory through up-stocking and down-stocking while staying active and precise in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
• 5+ years' experience operating a forklift and order picker, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Personal tools: work gloves, tape measure, box cutter, and standard hand tools.
• Physically active role with standing, lifting, climbing ladders, and overnight shifts.
• Regular lifting and handling of items up to 50+ lbs.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload and receive inbound shipments using sit-down forklift or manual methods.
• Inspect products to meet quality standards and document discrepancies before outbound shipment to stores.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily activity and quality inspection reports.
• Safely palletize, stage, and manage inventory with forklift or cherry picker.
• Maintain communication with warehouse team and management for smooth workflow.
• Perform minor packaging repairs to maintain presentation and quality standards.
