Job summary

SRS Building Products in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to manage receiving, stocking, and distribution of materials in a fast-paced environment. You will log shipments, unload and load orders, and keep accurate inventory records while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, maintaining an organized workspace, and collaborating with team members to meet delivery schedules and customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Operator certification preferred.
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments.
• Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with industry-specific software applications.
• Proficient in Spanish or another secondary language.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety.
• Safety audits and training experience.
• Adaptable to changing environments and challenges.
• Basic computer skills and math for inventory counts.
• Effective time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count, verify, and unload incoming orders and shipments; log and store materials per standards.
• Load outgoing orders onto trucks; ensure correct handling, documentation, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain organized warehouse and yard; uphold safety and operational excellence.
• Distribute materials to storage areas; rotate stock; report discrepancies or damaged products.
• Collaborate with team to foster a cooperative, team-first culture.
• Operate forklifts and handling equipment safely and proficiently.
