EY’s Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice in Houston provides government and public sector compliance for disaster recovery funding programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR). The team includes forensic accountants and engineers, delivering grants management and insurance claim services.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in accounting, law, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
1+ years of related compliance, audit, or financial management experience.
Strong project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Good attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability and willingness to travel and work extra hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation and a driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients services related to management and compliance of disaster recovery funding.
Assist with large grant projects for states and local governments, organize and analyze large volumes of information, and verify compliance.
Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence, will be required.
