Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Technical Assistance Coordinator to lead statewide forensic training, TA, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Planning and Engagement, this role enhances forensic services through strategic planning, program development, and system improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience or a master’s degree in public policy, public health, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in behavioral health, criminal justice and juvenile justice systems.
• Experience in providing training and technical assistance at federal, state, or local level.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high-profile, public-facing technical assistance initiatives.
• Develop policies, procedures, and performance metrics for TA initiatives.
• Lead meetings and workgroups with internal and external stakeholders on OFSC programs.
• Create professional TA products such as webinars, briefs, and toolkits.
• Monitor contracts and ensure compliance with funding, deliverables, and performance.
