Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an experienced NGRI Services Coordinator, Program Specialist VII, to serve as statewide expert for inpatient NGRI services. You will provide senior-level consultative support, develop policies, and drive statewide program development within the Office of Forensic Services and Coordination.

Under minimal supervision, you will coordinate across facilities, manage complex trainings, and report outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in appropriate field.
• 3+ years experience in forensic mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as statewide coordinator for inpatient NGRI services and related initiatives.
• Provide advanced consultative support to hospitals and facilities.
• Develop policies, manuals, and evaluation plans for NGRI programs.
• Deliver statewide education and training on NGRI statutes and processes.
• Analyze data to identify service gaps and drive quality improvement.
