Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) is seeking a part-time Forensic Nurse Specialist (LPN) to join the Department of Corrections program in Hartford, Enfield, CT. The role schedules Fridays 11am-3pm and weekends 8am-4pm, with on-site duties in DOC facilities and CHR OTP collaboration.

The position requires LPN licensure and provides opportunities to work with MAT for inmates, providing direct patient care, data entry, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• LPN nursing education required.
• Nursing experience on OTP preferred but not required.
• LPN license required; RN license acceptable for Per Diem positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medication Assisted Treatment for inmates.
• Input data into the electronic health record and related systems accurately.
• Prepare dosing for all FDA-approved MAT medications.
• Administer injections and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Monitor and document toxicology results and coordinate with lab staff.
• Collaborate with CHR OTP team and DOC staff to ensure compliant care.
• Maintain documentation per agency standards and participate in meetings.
