Job summary

CHR is recruiting for a Forensic Nurse Specialist- LPN at the Department of Corrections Robinson facility in Enfield, CT. This part-time role (20 hours/week) is on-site and centers on providing Medication Assisted Treatment to the inmate population.

Responsibilities include evaluating treatment response, preparing doses, administering injections, documenting in the EHR, and collaborating with the CHR OTP team and DOC staff to ensure compliant, quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing education for LPN; for Per Diem LPN or RN.
• Experience: OTP nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: LPN license for part-time/full-time; RN allowed forPer Diem.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient response to treatment and monitor withdrawal symptoms and vital signs.
• Prepare individual medication doses as ordered by a physician.
• Provide dosing for all FDA-approved Medications for Opioid Use Disorder.
• Input data into electronic health records and medication software accurately.
• Administer medication injections as ordered by APRN or MD.
• Monitor toxicology screens and document results for lab review.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with agency standards.
