Job summary

Centurion Health's Forensic Health Services seeks a per diem Forensic Psychologist to join the Massachusetts court clinics team, providing consultation to the court and facilitating statutory evaluations for adults with mental illness or substance misuse issues brought before the Court.

Responsibilities include evaluations such as Emergency Hospitalization needs, Competence to Stand Trial, Hospitalization of Mentally-Ill Prisoners, and Sentencing aid; Massachusetts licensure required or

Qualifications

• Active licensed Psychologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe
• Designated Forensic Professional (DFP) or ability to obtain
• Current/valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience working with court-involved criminal defendants preferred
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to the court and help facilitate statutory evaluations
• Assist with evaluations including Emergency Hospitalization needs, Competence to Stand Trial or Criminal Responsibility
• Evaluate Mental Condition of Witnesses and Need for Commitment of Substance Abusers
• Aid in Sentencing Evaluations as part of court clinics team
