Job summary

Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) SWCMHS in Bridgeport is seeking a Supervising Clinician to lead a forensic psychiatric unit. You will supervise clinicians, coordinate daily operations, and drive service delivery with emphasis on client safety and quality care.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in psychiatric care, a strong knowledge of policies, and collaboration with community partners.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of professional health care experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Two (2) years of general experience must include lead responsibilities coordinating a unit or team in a psychiatric setting.
• College training may substitute for up to four years of experience; a Master's may substitute for one additional year.
• A clinical license (e.g., CSW, LMFT, LPC, or RN) may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, assigns and oversees staff work and daily operations.
• Assists in developing unit goals and objectives for service delivery.
• Supports recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
• Determines priorities and coordinates unit activities for workflow.
• Acts as liaison with internal units, agencies and community partners.
• Identifies barriers and helps develop solutions to improve client care.
• Performs other related duties.
