Job summary

Rimkus seeks a Civil Engineer with Forensic expertise to perform investigations of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, determining causes and extents of damage for legal matters. You will prepare reports, manage multiple projects, and interact with clients, while ensuring safety and quality throughout field and office tasks.

Requires a BS in Civil Engineering and a PE license, plus 2–10+ years in the field. Travel up to 50% may be needed; relocation not specified.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in practice state or ability to obtain quickly.
• 2–10+ years of civil engineering/forensic experience.
• Project management and/or field investigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations and analyses of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve legal matters and claims.
• Conduct field investigations and gather evidence, review drawings and specifications.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting causes, extent of loss, and remediation.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with other experts to produce client reports.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain client relationships.
