Job summary

U.S. Forensic is seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer specializing in Civil/Structural Engineering. The successful candidate will investigate and analyze structural failures, damages and defects, and provide expert testimony when necessary.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, a PE license, forensic engineering experience, and strong communication skills to manage multiple projects and deliver clear reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• PE license required or able to obtain state licensure.
• Forensic engineering experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with expert testimony in legal proceedings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive forensic investigations to evaluate structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion and source evaluations, premises liability claims, and roof assessments.
• Perform site inspections and gather relevant data to support forensic analysis.
• Utilize engineering principles to analyze and assess structural issues.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports outlining findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering.
• Other duties as assigned.
