Job summary

Engineering Design & Testing Corporation (EDT) is seeking an Engineer-In-Charge to lead investigations of residential, commercial, and industrial structures. The role requires a PE license, strong knowledge of codes, and the ability to travel and work in diverse environments.

Responsibilities include site investigations, data gathering, cost estimating, and forensic reporting with a commitment to ethics, quality, and client service. The role is hybrid and based in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with NCEES registration.
• 7+ years’ civil/structural engineering experience, preferably residential/commercial.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigations of buildings and structures including roofing, fenestration, foundations and envelopes.
• Perform structural analysis, hazard and damage assessments, and material testing.
• Prepare repair/replacement cost estimates and forensic reports with timely delivery.
• Provide expert testimony as needed and maintain client communications.
• Travel as required and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
