Qualifications

• Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with NCEES registration is required.
• 7+ years’ experience in civil / structural engineering, preferably with residential or commercial properties.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction and reporting.
• Ability to travel out-of-town and work in varied environments and weather conditions.
• Experience with building codes and codes-related analysis as part of investigations.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigations of residential, commercial, and industrial structures as Engineer-In-Charge.
• Develop budgets, work orders, site visits, and cost estimates; provide status updates to clients.
• Perform structural analysis, hazard assessments, and material testing in field and lab settings.
• Prepare forensic reports detailing observations, data, and conclusions with clear timelines.
