Job summary

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Crew Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Springfield, Ohio region.

Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for major electric utility providers while ensuring safety, accuracy and efficiency on every job site.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: CDL Class A/B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: ISA Arborist and/or TCIA Tree Care certs.
• Willing to obtain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew for pruning/removal for electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees; clear debris from sites.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines and structures.
• Apply tree knowledge and pruning guidelines during work.
• Plan, inspect sites and ensure safe execution of tasks.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools including chainsaws, chippers and lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Crew Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Springfield, Ohio region.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal


• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects


• Application oftree identificationknowledgeand industry pruning guidelines


• Perform job-siteinspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks


• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.


• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors


• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire


• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire


• Required: valid driver’s license


• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain


• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work


• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law


• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional

• Hourly rate range 25.33 - 27.58 depending upon line clearance / industry experience, skill set, and if a CDL holder.
