Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking an Equipment Foreman in the field for telecom construction projects. You will lead crews, operate heavy machinery, and ensure safety and compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations. The role requires coordination with the supervisor and training of crew members, with responsibilities spanning maintenance, paperwork, and weather-ready work.

The position is hourly, with benefits and a focus on safe, on-schedule project execution.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED; relevant work experience preferred; 3+ years in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment.
• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide updates as needed.
• Oversee and train crew members.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork.
• Operate heavy equipment and perform maintenance.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment
• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide updates as needed
• Oversee and help with training of crew members
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork
• Operate heavy equipment and machinery, complete maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• All other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
