Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC in Marion, IA is seeking an Equipment Foreman for our Telecom Construction team. You will oversee crews to meet project timelines and safely operate assigned equipment.

You’ll also assist the Supervisor, supervise crew training, and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, while maintaining production notes and DOT paperwork in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires at least three years of related experience.
• Foreman experience preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment
• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide updates as needed
• Oversee and help with training of crew members
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork
• Operate heavy equipment and machinery, complete maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• All other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
