Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a Foreman to supervise and coordinate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel. The role focuses on training, quality, and adherence to drawings and procedures.

Offered are a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for new foreman hires, with relocation not provided. Eligible candidates will have substantial manufacturing or shipbuilding experience and relevant degree or certification.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience supervising semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel.
• 4+ years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades or military experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree OR Apprenticeship OR equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates trades personnel according to skill and experience.
• Trains employees to improve quality and productivity and assists in training procedures.
• Ensures compliance with drawings, procedures and other technical requirements.
