Job summary

Hutco, Inc. is seeking a Shipyard Foreman for a yard in Reserve, LA. The role requires experience in marine repairs, overseeing a crew of at least 10, and coordinating repairs to vessels. Pay ranges from $30.00 to $32.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Experience as shipyard foreman or supervisor in marine repairs.
• Knowledge of removing wheel shafts, rudders and coolers.
• Ability to manage a crew of 10 or more.
• Willingness to work long hours and travel if required.

Rate of Pay: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour based on experience (time and a half for overtime after 40 hours)

Hutco Inc. is seeking a shipyard repair Foreman for a yard in Reserve, LA. Experience is required. Must have knowledge of removing wheel shafts, rudders, and coolers, and be able to manage a minimum crew of 10 people.

NO TWIC card required. NO per diem is available. Long-term work.

Requirements

Oversees day-to-day repairs of marine vessels in the yard. Instructs personnel on procedures and repairs to be accomplished on each job. Complies with written repair specifications. Logs time cards for each employee, ensuring the correct job number and phases for each. Effectively utilizes equipment and personnel in order to keep the barge maintenance schedule on track. Maintains a safety watch over all aspects of yard jobs. Ability to operate various pieces of equipment and machinery. Controls expendable and consumable items used during repairs.
