Hutco, Inc. in Paducah, Kentucky, is seeking a Marine Shipyard Recruiter and Site Coordinator for a full-time role.

You will recruit, screen and place skilled trade professionals within a fast-paced marine environment, managing the full-cycle process and coordinating onsite onboarding and transportation when needed. The position requires 3+ years in recruiting within industrial or shipyard settings, knowledge of shipyard crafts, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience in industrial, marine, or skilled trades (shipyard experience preferred).
• Knowledge of shipyard crafts and equipment used in marine settings.
• Goal-oriented, self-driven, energetic and resilient with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in time management and computer skills (Microsoft Office; ATS).
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license for site visits, transport and supply runs (mileage reimbursed).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen and qualify skilled trade professionals including welders, fitters, electricians, pipefitters, riggers, marine joiners.
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from intake to placement.
• Screen resumes, conduct interviews, verify certifications and work history.
• Handle onboarding, insurance, compliance, and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain talent pipelines and build strong candidate relationships.
• Provide outstanding customer service as the main point of contact for workforce needs.
• Meet and check in new employees at the job site on start date and coordinate transportation if needed.
• Make supply runs and support field operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs and prepare weekly reports.

Position Overview: We're seeking a Marine Shipyard Recruiter to place skilled trade professionals. This is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of shipyards and skilled trades, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, screen and qualify skilled trade professionals including welders, fitters, electricians, pipefitters, riggers, marine joiners
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process

• Handle onboarding, insurance, compliance, and new hire paperwork

• Respond and provide transportation if an employee is injured on the job site
• Make supply runs as needed to support field operations

About You:

• 3+ years of recruiting experience (industrial, marine, or skilled trades sector — shipyard experience preferred)
• Knowledge of shipyard crafts
• Goal-oriented, self-driven, energetic, and resilient with excellent interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in sales, customer service, or similar people-focused environments
• Proficient in time management and computer skills (Microsoft Office; ATS)
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license required for site visits, employee transport, and supply runs (mileage reimbursed)
• Comfortable spending time on active shipyard and industrial worksites, not just in an office setting
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Schedule:
