Hutco Inc. is seeking 1st class structural welders for a shipyard located in Port Allen, LA. A skill test will be conducted on site to determine capability. No TWIC card required. Long term work with lots of hours is available.

Work will be in a Port Allen, LA shipyard environment; overtime after 40 hours may apply. Medical/Prescriptions and other benefits are provided according to company policy.

Rate of Pay:

$23.00 to $27.00 Based on Experience (overtime after 40 hours)

Description:

Hutco Inc. is looking for 1st class structural welders for a shipyard located in Port Allen, LA. Looking for first class skilled workers only with shipyard experience. A test will be done on location to determine your capability. No twic card required. NO per diem available. Long term work!! LOTS OF HOURS AVAILABLE!!

Requirements:

• Enter and work in internally confined spaces.
• Manipulate and transport loads of up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet, approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8 hour shift.
• Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position of Welder.
• Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
• Traverse and negotiate uneven heights between dock and vessel.
• Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces.
• Maneuver around piping obstructions and web frames.
• Ascend and work at heights.
• Stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling and reaching
