Job summary

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class ship fitters for shipyards located in Port Allen, LA. An on-site test will assess capabilities.

No TWIC card is required; the work primarily repairs barges and boats. Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within the ship's hull for welding. Requires minimum 2 years experience as a 1st class ship fitter, outfitting experience, knowledge of ship terminology, and ability to burn, wash, and

• Outfitting experience.
• Must know ship terminology.
• Must lay out and fabricate parts for ships.
• Must burn, wash, and bevel with a hand torch.
• Must pass a drug test and physical.
• Must be able to work all shifts.

Hutco Branch: Harvey, LA
Rate of Pay: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class ship fitters for shipyards located in Port Allen, LA. Looking for first-class ship fitters only with shipyard experience. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities. It primarily repairs work on barges and boats. NO TWIC card is required.
