Job Overview: The Foreman is responsible for directing and leading crews of hourly workers on a project. The Foreman reports to the General Foreman and/or Project Superintendent. We are hiring multiple positions for various projects; per diem and schedules are dependent on the project assignment. Travelers are welcome to apply.

Job Functions

• Assist in managing, implementing, and monitoring safety and environmental programs.
• Lead tailgate meetings, conduct inspections, and perform preliminary accident/incident investigations.
• Plan, organize, and assign work to manpower crews, ensuring conformance to quality and safety standards.
• Manage the storage, security, and maintenance of specific tools and manuals.
• Produce Supervisor Daily Work Plans and communicate goals to crews.
• Provide input on cost-saving methods related to manpower, scheduling, and materials.
• Manage, receive, and report materials used on site.
• Monitor crew productivity, track man hours and materials for work performed.
• Complete employee review forms for hourly trades crew members.
• Supervise one or more project crews, providing guidance, training, and mentoring.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
• At least 12 months working as a Foreman.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Compliance with all PCL policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Pass a pre-employment physical examination, DOT and/or Non-DOT drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  
  

Skills

• Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Computer savvy.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces above- or below-ground level, such as: towers, scaffolding, vessels, excavations, etc.
• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials without assistance.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
