Job description

Arxada is looking for a Global Category Leader to lead and assume full accountability for Metal Driven Compounds Category and NA Contract Manufacturing to support all of Arxada’s businesses. In this role, you will identify and deliver value based on category management excellence and through applying a professional procurement approach. You will drive category expertise through an understanding of supply markets/trends, cost drivers and the impact to Arxada’s business model. This role works closely with key stakeholders to develop effective category strategies that enable step change improvements in quality, service, innovation and sustainable annual cost reductions and value creation. You will incorporate your knowledge of internal and external manufacturing capabilities to support make vs. buy decisions and develop supplier relationships that leverage supplier capabilities, improve supply continuity and reduce total cost of ownership.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Procurement: drive Procurement for Metal Driven Compounds Globally and North America Contract Manufacturing/Tolling, manage the relevant product supply process and enhance the overall effectiveness of the supply chain etc.
  • Supply assurance: drive awareness of active supply issues clarifying business impact and lead resolution plans, review Supplier Change Notices and align with all stakeholders to drive implementation, work closely with Supplier Quality to monitor supplier performance metrics and actively participate in CAPA development, execution and closure plans etc.
  • Negotiation: support the development of negotiation plans for the overall category/sub-category; plan, lead and execute negotiations of commercial terms and supply agreements
  • Deliver savings: work closely with key stakeholders to develop cost reduction strategies, pipeline and implementation plans that meet business needs and optimize TCO etc.
  • Supplier Relationship management: Identify suitable suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, manage relationships with vendors acting as the primary point of contact within Arxada, assess suppliers for category portfolio etc
  • Stakeholder management: identify, engage and clarify requirements with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Quality, Business Units, Corporate Functions and R&D

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • Preferred area of study:Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry, Finance or Business
  • Min. 7+ years of operations experience with min. 5+ years in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing
  • Experience in a regulated industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in category management and strategic sourcing
  • Business and financial acumen and Strategic Sourcing expertise

The expected salary range for this role is 164,700 to 201,300 USD, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.

This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
