Job Description

Spring 2026 courses – level, days/times TBD based on needs of the department. Part‑time, temporary faculty assignments on an as‑needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses as scheduled by the department.
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials, assessments, and graded assignments.
  • Maintain accurate course records and comply with departmental policies.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in the language being taught OR Bachelor’s degree in the language being taught AND Master’s in another language or linguistics.
  • OR valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.
  • Proof of degree must be verifiable on a legible transcript.
  • Commitment to diversity: demonstrated sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional practices to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations and close equity gaps.
