English Instructor – Part‑Time
Position Title: English Instructor Pool – Part‑Time (Fullerton College, FC Humanities Department).
Location: Fullerton, California.
Employment Type: Part‑Time; assignments on a per‑duty‑day basis; duties may involve lecture, lab, or parity units.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate English courses (lecture, lab, or parity units) as scheduled.
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that address diverse learning needs.
- Provide support for special‑population programs (e.g., Puente, UMOJA, dual enrollment) when assigned.
- Participate in faculty meetings and program reviews as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition.
- Or Bachelor’s degree in any of the above fields plus a Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, education (reading, creative writing, or journalism) or equivalent.
- Valid transcripts and verification of prior teaching experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience teaching dual‑enrollment English courses.
- Experience with special‑population programs such as Puente or UMOJA.
- Willingness to reflect on and adapt instructional practices to support disproportionately impacted students.
