**SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY**

**This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.** This is a continuous recruitment to fill part‑time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as‑needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part‑time faculty.

Job Description

Cypress College is accepting applications for Part‑time French Instructor positions. The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants to fill part‑time assignments on an as‑needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part‑time faculty.

Special Requirements

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If the degree award date is not posted on the transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration. Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts. All degrees and course work used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions. Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s in the language being taught
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s in the language being taught
  • AND
  • Master’s in another language or linguistics
  • OR
  • Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.
  • OR
  • The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
  • Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity‑minded practices within the classroom.
