Job summary

Socket.dev in Las Vegas is seeking a detail-oriented Foreclosure Specialist to support our legal team. You will perform desktop reviews, handle filings, and communicate with courts and clients.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of foreclosure experience, familiarity with Loansphere/BKFS/ICE, and strong writing and collaboration skills. This role is on-site in Las Vegas with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of law firm foreclosure experience.
  • Proficient in document prep: Notices of Sale, Deeds.
  • Familiarity with Loansphere/BKFS/ICE software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, and prioritize the work appropriately
  • Communicate with the courts, clients and opposing counsel
  • Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure legal action exceeds clients’ timelines and expectations
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Draft and record legal documents
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal bankruptcy, foreclosure and collections requirements (as applicable)

Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, and prioritize the work appropriately
  • Communicate with the courts, clients and opposing counsel

  • Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Draft and record legal documents
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal bankruptcy, foreclosure and collections requirements (as applicable)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Candidate should have at least one year of Law Firm experience handling foreclosures.
  • Document preparation including but not limited to Notices of Sale and Deeds
  • Experience operating in Loansphere/ BKFS/ICE
  • Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law
Required Education and Training
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
  • 1 year experience in handling foreclosures
