Job summary

Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC seeks a foreclosure-savvy paralegal to perform loan-level desktop reviews, draft and record documents, and coordinate with courts and clients. Qualifications

  • At least one year of law firm foreclosure experience.
  • Document preparation including Notices of Sale and Deeds.
  • Experience operating Loansphere/BKFS/ICE.
  • Creative problem-solving with good judgment and initiative.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage workflow and deadlines with shifting priorities.
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews and prioritize the work.
  • Communicate with the courts, clients and opposing counsel.
  • Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to meet timelines and expectations.
  • Ensure internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Draft and record legal documents.
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure requirements (as applicable).

Specific Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, and prioritize the work appropriately
  • Communicate with the courts, clients and opposing counsel
  • Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure legal action exceeds clients’ timelines and expectations
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Draft and record legal documents
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal bankruptcy, foreclosure and collections requirements (as applicable)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Candidate should have at least one year of Law Firm experience handling foreclosures.
  • Document preparation including but not limited to Notices of Sale and Deeds
  • Experience operating in Loansphere/ BKFS/ICE
  • Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law
Required Education and Training:
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
  • 1 year experience in handling foreclosures
