Job summary

Lender Legal PLLC is seeking an experienced foreclosure attorney to join our Florida team in a fully remote capacity. Responsibilities include handling all aspects of mortgage foreclosure litigation in Florida, including title review, motions, discovery, mediations, and trials.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Florida foreclosure experience, will first-chair contested trials, take depositions, and assist with appellate work as needed. Travel across Florida is expected (10%).

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required from ABA-accredited law school.
• Florida license to practice law in good standing required.
• At least 1 year of Florida mortgage foreclosure experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of litigation and motion practice.

Responsibilities

• First-chair contested nonjury foreclosure trials across Florida.
• Take and defend depositions; manage discovery and motion practice.
• Assist with legal research and brief writing on appellate matters as needed.

Fully remote position

Lender Legal PLLC, a creditors' rights law firm with a primary practice area of residential mortgage foreclosure, is currently seeking an experienced attorney to join our Florida team. Attorneys in this position will have a minimum of 1 year of experience handling all aspects of mortgage foreclosure litigation in Florida, including initial title review, complaint drafting, motion practice, discovery, mediations, trials, and execution on judgments. They will first-chair contested nonjury trials, take and defend depositions, and assist with legal research and writing on appellate matters as needed. They will work with both large and small financial institutions and investors.

• Compensation commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Law degree from ABA accredited law school.
• License to practice law in the state of Florida and in good standing.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Florida mortgage foreclosure is required; real estate and/or title law experience is a plus.
• Have a good working knowledge of litigation and motion practice, generally.
• Willingness to travel as needed across the state of Florida (10%).
