Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in United States is seeking a Team Captain - Footwear to lead the footwear department, coach teammates, and drive sales while ensuring the department is ready to meet athlete needs. You will help athletes perform at their best and grow your leadership career.

You will partner with store leadership on plans, manage staffing, and maintain high standards of customer service and product knowledge in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing clear, accurate product information and upholding merchandising standards.
• Assist in developing 30-60-90 day plans with the store leadership team to support department priorities.
• Communicate goals and assign workload to direct reports to maximize efficiency and payroll alignment.
• Build and lead a team, handle hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
