Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in the United States is seeking a Team Captain – Footwear & Apparel to coach a dynamic retail team on the floor. You’ll drive sales, deliver expert product knowledge, and ensure athletes find the right footwear and apparel for performance and style.

Lead staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day store operations while upholding company standards for merchandising, customer service, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences with product knowledge and service.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards across floor sets and signage.
• Promote loyalty programs, warranties, and credit card enrollment.
• Lead development of 30–60–90 day plans with store leadership.
• Build schedules and staffing to meet traffic and budgets.
